Join our team. Leave your day job and be the boss! Territories available across Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity in a market with high demand across the country, and in the biggest growth sector in the Australian small business market – ageing and older people.

Of course it’s not entirely a goose laying golden eggs. Being your own boss takes hard work and dedication but the bonus is you’re not working it out on your own.

We want to make our niche toenail cutting service available to many clients across Australia.  We know the need is there.  You can help us grow and expand our services to the many people who need and demand it.

We are a team who work together, so that you can achieve independence and financial freedom for yourself and your family.

The Toenail People Australia Franchise

Cutting your own toenails is a simple thing, you do and don’t really think much about it…until you can’t do it for yourself. Cutting toenails, or medipedis add so much value to our clients lives because they can’t do it for themselves. It’s a problem we have solved for our clients over the past 16 years and now we need more team members to help us keep up with client demand.

This wonderful business is for anyone wanting to join a successful team of caring, like-minded small business people, who get to work with the most amazing clients…all over Australia.

We are committed to providing your with continual learning and growth opportunities. We want to empower you to achieve your goals and be the best you can be through team work, hard work and constant innovation.

Do it for yourself!

The Toenail People is run by us, Melissa and Karen, two savvy business mums with years of experience in the corporate and health care sectors. Just like many of you considering a franchise, we started out with the dream of owning our own business, being our own boss.

Together we have improved our business to be Australia’s No. 1 professional toenail cutting and mobile Medi Pedi service. We are so passionate about older and disabled people and anyone else who struggles with their toenails and foot care.

Melissa Harrison The Toenail People

For us, it’s all about providing our clients with an exceptional service and knowing that what they do each day really improves the quality of life of our clients. Our clients rely on The Toenail People regular visits as the key to their health and mobility is the great foot care service they receive from us.

It all began 16 years ago, when Karen, our Founder, noticed that her home nursing clients in QLD were struggling to cut their toenails. Karen saw first-hand how her clients were affected by their long toenails. It made it really difficult for them to be comfortable and stay active. Karen’s experience showed her that older people have difficulty bathing, dressing and putting on socks and cutting their toenails. Of these three tasks, the most difficult of these was cutting their own toenails. The reasons why older people are unable to cut their toenails vary: some have arthritis and rheumatism, health issues prevent them bending down, some have poor eyesight, some found it impossible to cut the hard nails which develop with age.

After a lot of research and training, Karen found she could offer a professional, reliable and much needed caring service. A niche business was born and the clients started booking in droves.

Skip forward a couple of years to Melissa working in Sydney in the corporate world. She was working full time, struggling to make it all work. She had a really busy life, demanding job, a couple of young boys, a husband who worked long hours and a desperate desire to run her own business and unleash her inner-entrepreneur.

The friend thought she may be interested in a “Toenail People” franchise. “Yuk!” she thought and forgot about it until she had a few months in bed with glandular fever. Until then she had never seriously thought about this fantastic niche business. The months in bed recuperating made Melissa realise that this business is really smart. Melissa quit her day job when she recovered, bought the Sydney franchise and hit the ground running. Literally from day 1 of advertising, the calls were coming in and each week the client numbers kept growing and growing. In the early days of advertising, Melissa would take up to 20 bookings a day. Melissa is lucky enough to still have most of those lovely clients today!

In July 2016, an opportunity arose for us the partner up with the new and improved Toenail People Australia! We are so proud of our niche foot care business! Neither us saw ourselves cutting toenails or giving pedicures for a living, but here we both are expanding our business so that more and more clients can access the service throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Sure, toenail cutting is a little left of centre but what an invaluable service we provide. Our fast, reliable, friendly service helps people stay mobile longer, relieves discomfort, helps them to maintain independence in their own homes, and provides an all-round wonderful experience.

We are first and foremost a customer focussed business and we’ve done everything we can to ensure we deliver the very best service to our lovely clients. But equally as important is a happy work environment and why we’ve spent a long time perfecting our mobile franchise model so that our teams feel fully supported to build the best businesses they can – because when we’re all winning, we’re all winning.

We believe this winning combination of happy clients/happy teams is why The Toenail People is so successful and ready to grow.
